Installation
Make sure you are the root user. Change to your selected installation directory and unpack the OSsonar tarball. The top directory created is “ossonar”.For example: cd /usr -or- cd /usr/local tar xvzf /tmp/ossonar-2.1.1.tar.gz Make sure that you have adequate space in the selected filesystem. Uninstall
Be out of the /ossonar directory path. Execute /ossonar/bin/uninstall. Either remove the ossonar directory or reinstall.
Configuration
The configuration file is /ossonar/etc/config/OSSONAR.conf. It should be edited by the command /ossonar/bin/editconfig. First-Time Install (Custom Config) On a first-time install of OSsonar, if /etc/OSSONAR.conf exists,it will be copied as the standard instead of the default one in /ossonar/language. Updates
Download the OSsonar tarball being sure not to change the name. Put the downloaded tarball into /ossonar/etc/autoupdate. OSsonar will update and will notify you with a Level 1 alert when it completes.
